About the practice

ASK Consulting is a two-person practice led by Assaf Kipnis, who spent 12 years at LinkedIn, Meta, Google and ElevenLabs finding the ways systems quietly fail. Between us: engineering, data reliability, product, and the commercial side. It is based in San Jose, California and works with clients across the United States.

Background

Assaf spent 12 years doing fraud and abuse investigation at LinkedIn, Meta, Google, and ElevenLabs. That work is one long lesson in how systems fail quietly: the fake accounts that look real, the transactions that pass every check, the abuse that hides inside normal-looking traffic. Building reliable AI turns out to be the same job. The failures are silent, the dashboards stay green, and someone has to go find what the system is hiding.

How we work

We build systems, not decks. Every AI judgment in a system we ship is surrounded by checks that are ordinary code: code reads the data, the AI does one narrow job, and a check it cannot skip decides whether the output goes out. When the evidence is missing, the system says so instead of guessing. Clients keep their data in their own systems, and a person stays in the loop on anything that reaches a customer.

The offer

The front door is the assessment: $1,000 fixed, one week. We spend it inside how the work actually happens, and you come out with findings and real options, each with what it would take and what it would cost. Pricing beyond the assessment depends on what that week finds, so we quote it then rather than guessing at it now. Case studies with real figures are at askconsulting.io/work.

Who you would be working with

Two people. Assaf Kipnis brings 12 years of fraud and abuse investigation at LinkedIn, Meta, Google and ElevenLabs; he is reachable at the address below and on LinkedIn. The second partner joined in 2026 and brings product and commercial experience; he is not named publicly here, and you will meet him on any engagement he works on.

We build in the open

Some of what we build is public. Our GitHub carries 465 stars across 48 public repositories, including the research tooling and founder systems this practice runs on. You can read the code before you hire anyone.
